All Consuming Fire is a series of seven paintings in the style of altar pieces, consisting of a triptych and four panels. They were inspired by the song of the same name.
We, God's children, are in a process of sanctification, that is, a process of constant change in order to become like Him. As individuals we are all in different stages of sanctification. Temptations―which we are faced with daily―serve as tests of our faith to produce in us the godly character that is pleasing to our Lord, as James tells us in his letter.
Thus, the idea behind these paintings is that God's healing work and power in our lives “burn” away all that is not of Him, so that what remains in us is He Himself. May the images allow you to meditate on your own personal healing.
