About Silvana

Italian born, multimedia artist Silvana Tei Kenney's interest in emotional and spiritual growth has led her to build a body of work on the premise best described by Tolstoy in What is Art?,

"Thanks to man's capacity to be infected with the feelings of others by means of art, all that is being lived through by his contemporaries is accesible to him, as well as the feelings experienced by men thousands of years ago, and he has also the possibility of transmitting his own feelings to others."

The philosophy that intuition is part of the mystery of life has inspired her performance work and participatory installations shown nationally and internationally. Her other work encompasses sculpture and painting with the same grounding philosophy.

She divides her home between Southern California and Tuscany, Italy.
